For FY27–28 Grants (performance period starting July 1, 2026)

Washoe County will be considering projects for the Nevada State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program funding FY27–28. Washoe County is eligible to apply for projects located in unincorporated areas of the county. The public is invited to participate by providing ideas, comments, and suggestions concerning potential projects. Public meetings will be held in person and via Zoom.

Funding Overview

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has made approximately $2.4 million available for grants for community facilities, planning and capacity building, economic development, micro-enterprise programs, and housing rehabilitation. These grants are available on a competitive basis to Nevada’s 26 non-entitlement cities and counties. Washoe County is eligible to apply for projects located in unincorporated areas of the county.
